Definition

グリフォンは、ライオンの体とワシの頭と翼をもつ神話上の生き物です。物語や伝説、アート、ファンタジー作品で力強く高貴な存在として登場します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話ではあまり使われず、主に物語やファンタジーに登場します。'ride'（乗る）、'guard'（守る）、'appear'（現れる）などの動詞や、'statue'（像）、'symbol'（シンボル）、'creature'（生き物）と一緒によく使われます。'griffin'や'gryphon'とスペルが異なることもあります。
