草

Definition

草は、細長い葉を持ち、庭や公園、野原など地面を覆う一般的な緑の植物です。また、草が生い茂る場所を指すこともあります。

日常会話では、芝生や野原の植物を指します。「cut the grass」「sit on the grass」のような表現で使われます。スラングで「草」は大麻を指す場合もありますが、その意味は限られた場面のみです。

The grass is very green after the rain.
