সাধারণত এটি বহুবচনে ব্যবহৃত হয় এবং উভয় পক্ষের দাদা-দাদি বা নানু-নানিকেই বোঝাতে পারে। নির্দিষ্ট করে বলতে 'মাতৃকুলের দাদা-দাদি' বা 'পিতৃকুলের দাদা-দাদি' বলো।
