Definition

『聖杯』は、最後の晩餐でイエスが使ったとされる伝説の杯のことです。また、非常に価値があり多くの人が追い求めるものを比喩的に表す場合にも使われます。

宗教や歴史的な文脈で使うことが多く、「聖杯（Holy Grail）」として有名です。比喩的に大きな目標や夢にも用いられますが、ただのカップには使いません。
