「graduate」の過去形で、主に学校や大学などの課程を修了することを意味します。時には、より高いレベルに進むことも表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

多くの場合「from」と一緒に使います（例: 'She graduated from college.'）。アメリカ英語では「graduated college」とも言われますが、「graduated from」の方が無難です。教育や段階的な上昇にも使われます。
