ガウンは、特別なイベントや式典などで着る長くてフォーマルなドレスや、病院で使う医療用の着衣です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
‘Evening gowns’, ‘wedding gowns’はパーティー用ドレス。病院の‘gown’は医療着を指す。‘robe’（バスローブや卒業式用）は別の意味になるので注意。
