Definition

这是人们在晚上或睡前对别人说的话，用来祝对方有个愉快的夜晚、睡个好觉。它最常用在晚上分别时。

作为感叹语时，通常写成一个词：'Goodnight!'。作为普通短语时，英语常写成两个词：'good night'，如 'Have a good night.' 不要和 'good evening' 混淆；后者主要用于晚上见面打招呼，不通常用于睡前道别。
