Definition

「グラットン」は必要以上にたくさん食べる人、または何かを極端に欲しがる人を指します。食べ物以外にも強い欲望がある場合にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

やや否定的またはユーモラスに使われることが多いです。「glutton for punishment」は、困難なことを自ら進んでやりたがる人を指します。人に対して使い、動物には滅多に使いません。
