滑る滑空する

Definition

滑らかに静かに動くこと。空中や表面上をほとんど努力せずに動くこと。エンジンなしで飛ぶ意味もある。

『glide』は『slide』よりも柔らかく優雅な動きに使う。ダンスや鳥の優雅な飛行にぴったり。急な動きや荒っぽい動きには使わない。

The swan glides across the lake.
