어떤 대화, 이야기, 글에서 가장 중요한 핵심이나 주제를 의미합니다.

주로 '요점을 파악하다(get the gist)'처럼 전체 내용을 다 알지 않더라도 중요한 부분만 이해할 때 쓴다. 자세한 분석에는 사용하지 않는다.
