對男性的禮貌或正式稱呼，特別是指一羣男性或集體稱呼時。也可用來形容舉止彬彬有禮的男士。

“gentlemen” 總是複數，慣用於正式場合、公眾致辭，常見於 “Ladies and gentlemen” 這類用語。現今場合有時會用中性詞語。不可用於指男孩。
