Um frontão é a parte triangular superior de uma parede que forma o fim de um telhado inclinado. É comum em arquitetura tradicional ou clássica.

'Gable' é utilizado sobretudo em arquitetura, normalmente ao falar de casas e igrejas. Expressões: 'gable roof', 'gable end'. Não confundir com 'gable window' (janela de frontão). Raramente usado fora destes temas.
