おしゃべりは、重要でないことについて気軽にたくさん話すことを意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「おしゃべり」は親しい友達同士や軽い雰囲気の時に使います。「the gift of gab（話し上手）」のような表現もあります。フォーマルな場面では使いません。
