경제적 이유나 회사 정책에 따라 직원이 일정 기간 동안 임금을 받지 않고 일시적으로 휴직하는 것을 말합니다.
Usage Notes (Korean)
주로 공식적 또는 회사에서 사용되며, 자발적 휴가가 아니라 경영상 이유로 임시로 쉬게 되는 것입니다. 'layoff(해고)'과 혼동하지 않도록 주의하고, 'put on furlough', 'furlough days', 'furloughed employees' 같은 표현이 자주 사용됩니다.
