fur 指许多动物身上浓密柔软的毛。它也可以指带着毛的动物皮，尤其是用来做衣物时。

通常用于动物，不用于人。'fur' 常说猫、狗、兔子等动物身上的毛；'hair' 更广，也可指人的头发。'fur coat' 指毛皮大衣。不要和 'feather'（羽毛）或 'wool'（羊毛）混淆。
