Pessoas que estão fugindo ou se escondendo da lei, da polícia ou de outras autoridades, geralmente porque cometeram um crime ou estão escapando de algum perigo.

Geralmente no plural e em contexto formal ou jurídico. Refere-se a pessoas que fogem da polícia ou autoridades ('em fuga'). Não se usa para animais.
