Definition

とても寒く、霜で覆われていることもある。人や態度が冷たく、よそよそしい場合にも使う。

主に天候や物の表面・飲み物（“frosty morning”“frosty glass”）に使われるほか、人や態度が冷たい意味でも使う（“frosty reception”）。ただの涼しさではなく、強い冷たさや感情的な距離感がある時に使う。

It was a frosty morning, and the ground was white with ice.
