長時間暴露於極低溫下導致皮膚及深層組織的嚴重損傷。通常影響手指、腳趾、鼻子和耳朵。

主要用於醫學或寒冷天氣的語境，不屬於口語。經常和身體部位連用，如「手指出現凍傷」。不要與「低溫症」混淆，後者指全身體溫過低。
