霜（ケーキの）アイシング

Definition

寒い朝などに地面や物の表面にできる薄い氷の層。また、ケーキなどにアイシングを塗ることも指します。

天気予報や園芸で「霜」はよく使います。「ケーキにアイシングを塗る」という動詞用法もあります。「フリーズ」や「雪」とは意味が異なります。

There was frost on the grass this morning.
