大学や新しいグループに入ったばかりの人を指します。特にイギリス英語で使われます。

主にイギリス英語で使われ、アメリカでは「freshman」が一般的です。「fresher week」は新入生のためのオリエンテーション期間を指します。食べ物には使いません。

I'm a fresher at university this year.
