Definition

分数とは、全体の一部を表す数字で、通常は分子と分母で書かれます（例：1/2）。また、ごくわずかな部分という意味でも使われます。

「分数」は数学でよく使われます（例：1/3, 3/4）。日常会話では「ごく一部」や「ほんのわずか」という意味でも使います。「骨折」とは混同しません。よく使うフレーズ：「わずかな分数」「重要な分数」など。

A half is a simple fraction.

2分の1はシンプルな**分数**です。

He ate only a small fraction of the cake.

彼はケーキのごく一部だけを食べた。

One quarter is the same fraction as one-fourth.
