这是“fight”的过去式。表示某人和别人动手、激烈争论，或努力对抗某个问题、疾病或不公平的处境。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))

它既可表示身体上的打斗，也很常表示非身体上的抗争，如 'fought cancer'、'fought for freedom'、'fought over money'。'fight with' 常指和某人争斗；'fight for' 表示为某种目标而争取；'fight against' 表示对抗有害的事物。发音上不要和 'caught' 或 'thought' 混淆。
