Definition

過去に何かを思い出せなかったことを表します。

過去形で使う。'I forgot to...' の形でよく使われる。物を置き忘れた場合は 'left' と区別する。普段の会話でよく使う表現。

I forgot my keys at home.

家に鍵を**忘れた**。

She forgot to do her homework.

彼女は宿題をするのを**忘れた**。

We forgot his birthday last year.
