Definition
何かをすることを許さず、してはいけないとすること。ルールや規則などに使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「forbids」は公式・権威的な場面（法律、宗教、学校など）で使われます。「forbid」と「prevent」は意味が違いますので注意。よく「-ing」形と一緒に使われます。
