フラッシュバックは、物語の中で過去に起きた出来事を振り返る場面や、突然よみがえる鮮明な記憶のことです。

物語で過去を説明する時や、心理的に強い記憶が突然蘇る時に使います。「flashbackを使う」は物語上、「have a flashback」は個人的な体験に使われます。感情的な場面でよく登場します。
