指大片開闊的土地，常用於耕種或長滿草。它也可以表示更廣義上的研究領域或工作領域。

表示土地時很常見，如 'a field of corn'、'play in the field'。在學術或職業語境中，'field' 也表示知識或工作的領域，如 'the medical field'。不要和 'farm' 混淆，'farm' 指整個農場，不只是其中一片空地。
