Definition

야구나 크리켓과 같은 스포츠에서 fielding은 타자가 공을 쳤을 때 공을 잡거나 막아내고 주자를 아웃시키려는 수비 동작입니다. 일반적으로는 수비 전체를 뜻할 수도 있습니다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 야구와 크리켓에서 사용합니다. 'good fielding'은 훌륭한 수비를 뜻합니다. 축구에서는 사용하지 않고 'defending'을 씁니다. 드물게 스포츠 외 질문 응대에 쓰이기도 합니다.
