একাধিক গণনাযোগ্য বস্তুর বা ব্যক্তির তুলনায় কম সংখ্যাকে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

শুধুমাত্র গণনাযোগ্য বস্তু (যেমন বই, মানুষ, গাড়ি) এর সাথে ব্যবহার হয়, অগণনীয়ের জন্য 'less' ব্যবহার করা হয়।
