নারী ও পুরুষের সমতা এবং নারীর অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে কাজ করে এমন মানুষদের বলা হয়।

'নারীবাদী' শব্দটি সকল লিঙ্গের জন্য ব্যবহার করা যায়। একাডেমিক ও আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে সাধারণত ইতিবাচক, তবে কথোপকথনে কখনও নেতিবাচক অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে। 'নারীবাদী আন্দোলন', 'নারীবাদী কর্মী' ইত্যাদি শব্দের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হয়।
