偽物とは、本物のように見せかけて他人をだますために作られた物や人のことです。物でも人でも使われます。

フォーマル・インフォーマル両方で使われます。「designer fakes」「internet fakes」など具体的なもの、「偽物（人）」の場合は偽者となり、人にも使えます。複数形で使うことが多い単語です。
