表示程度适中，比一点多，但不到非常的程度。它也可以表示以公正、合理的方式，不过这种用法较少见。

大多数时候，fairly 和形容词或副词连用，表示“相当、还算”，如 'fairly easy'、'fairly quickly'。它比 'very' 语气更弱。不要和形容词 'fair'（公平的；浅色的）混淆。表示“公正地”时，常见于 'treat someone fairly' 这样的搭配。
