Definition

誰に対しても平等でひいきや不正のないこと。また、ルールや基準に従って妥当なこと。さらに、髪や肌の色が明るい場合にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

日常会話やフォーマルな場面の両方で使われます。「fair play」「fair chance」「fair enough」などの表現がよく登場します。“fare”（料金）と混同注意。髪や肌の色を表す時にも使います。
