「Faint」可以形容某種聲音、氣味或痕跡很微弱、很淡、很難察覺。它也可以表示短暫失去知覺。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

作為形容詞時，常和 'sound', 'smell', 'hope', 'line', 'heartbeat' 搭配。作為動詞時，常見結構是 'faint from/after' 某事；日常口語裡也常說 'pass out'。不要和 'feint' 混淆，後者指假動作。
