Definición

空間や時間、数量を増やしたり、何かを外に伸ばすこと。物事を長く続けたり、体を伸ばす意味もある。

フォーマルや技術的な文脈でよく使われる。期限、旅行、手などを「伸ばす」「延長する」に使える。'expanding'（拡大）とは異なり、期間や到達範囲を増やす意味。
