短時間で長距離を移動できるように作られた、信号や交差点のない広い道路です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『Expressway』はアメリカ英語でよく使われ、イギリス英語では『motorway』に相当します。都市や都市間の制限付きアクセス道路を指します。ただの速い道路ではなく、必ず出入り口が制限されています。
