展覽是指公開展示活動，也指對某事的說明，尤其是在故事開頭提供背景資訊時。

正式和學術性詞彙。在文學中，“exposition”指故事開頭的背景介紹；在藝術、商業或科學中，通常指大型展覽或公開展示。常用搭配：'hold an exposition'（舉辦展覽）。注意不要和 'explanation'（解釋）或 'expose'（揭露）混淆。
