Definition

場所や考え、物事について詳しく調べたり、見たりして、新しいことを知ろうとしたこと。新しい領域や情報を発見する場合によく使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

過去の出来事や場所、アイデアについて使われることが多い。「already」「never」や疑問文（'Have you ever explored...?')によく使う。旅行や科学、抽象的な思考でよく使う。'checked out'よりフォーマル。
