Definition

展示会や展覧会は、美術品や商品、技術などを多くの人に公開して見せるイベントで、美術館やギャラリー、特別な会場などで行われます。

主にフォーマルまたは中立の場面で使います。芸術展（art exhibition）、見本市（trade exhibition）などが代表的です。「exhibit」（展示物や展示する行為）と混同しないよう注意しましょう。スポーツでは「エキシビションマッチ」と呼びます。
