এটি সাধারণত উদ্ভট, অনুশীলন, বা বিশ্রামের প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'বাইরে শ্বাস ফেলা' কথাটি দৈনন্দিন কথোপকথনে বেশি প্রচলিত; 'exhale' বেশি আনুষ্ঠানিক। 'Inhale' মানে শ্বাস নেওয়া, তার সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
