Definition

良いことが起こる時やこれから起こるときに、嬉しさや期待、エネルギーで胸が高鳴る気持ち。人の強い興味や熱中を引き起こすものについても使われる。

たいていは良いことを待つときの前向きな気持ちで使う（例: 'I'm excited about the trip.'）。自分の感情には 'excited'、出来事や物には 'exciting' を使い分ける。まれに性的なニュアンスもあるので注意。

The kids are excited about the school trip.
