エルフはファンタジーや伝説に登場する魔法を使う架空の存在です。一般的に小柄でとがった耳を持ち、賢くて魔法や助けてくれるイメージがあります。

ファンタジー作品（例：サンタのエルフや映画、小説）で使われます。単数形は「エルフ」、複数形は「エルフたち」「エルフ」。昔の伝承ではいたずら好きや親切な精霊の場合もあります。
