Definition

卵は、鳥（特にニワトリ）が産む丸いもので、食べ物としてよく使われます。また、生物学では魚や昆虫などの卵も指します。

「卵」は一般的に食用の鶏卵を指します。「ゆで卵」「目玉焼き」「卵黄」「卵白」「卵を産む」などの表現でよく使われます。
