版エディション

Definition

本や雑誌、新聞などの特定のバージョンや発行。シリーズ物や特別な特徴がある場合にも使われます。商品やイベントの特別なリリースにも用いられます。

出版分野でよく使われます（例：'first edition'＝初版）。ソフトや商品の特別版にも使われますが、映画には使いません（映画は'version'）。部数や一部分ではなく、全体のバージョンを指します。

This is the first edition of the book.

これはその本の最初の**版**です。

They released a special edition of the magazine.
