予定より前に起こる、または他の何かより早く行うこと。期間の初めのほうで起こる場合にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「早く」「早い」は時間、年齢、段階によく使われます。「early morning」「get up early」などのフレーズに注意。'soon'（まもなく）とは意味が異なります。

She always arrives early to work.

The early bus leaves at 6 a.m.

It is too early to eat lunch.
