風によってできた大きな砂の丘で、主に砂漠や海辺にあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常「砂丘」は複数を指す時に使いますが、単数の場合は「砂丘一つ」と表現します。地理や観光、自然の話題でよく使います。小さな砂山には使いません。
