Definition

বালু দ্বারা তৈরি বড় ঢিবি বা উঁচু অংশ, যা সাধারণত মরুভূমি কিংবা সমুদ্রসৈকতের পাশে পাওয়া যায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'বালিয়াড়ি' সাধারণত বহুবচনেই ব্যবহৃত হয়, একটি নির্দিষ্ট ঢিবি বোঝাতে 'বালিয়াড়ি' বলা যায়। প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ, ভ্রমণ বা ভূগোলের প্রসঙ্গে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। ছোট বালুর স্তূপ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
