Definition
公爵とは、ヨーロッパの伝統的な貴族制度において、王子の下、侯爵や伯爵の上に位置する高位の男性貴族やその称号です。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に歴史や王室、文学的な文脈で使われます。名前の前に来る時（“Duke William”）は大文字で書きますが、一般的に使う時は小文字です。“duchess”（女性の称号）と混同しないようにしましょう。
