परिभाषा

兩個人之間為瞭解決爭執或證明勇氣而進行的正式戰鬥，通常使用武器。也可以指兩個人或團體之間的激烈競爭。

“Duel” 多用於正式、歷史性的對決（例如劍術或決鬥手槍）。現代也可泛指激烈的一對一對抗，如“智力之爭”。搭配：'duel with'（與某人決鬥）、'duel between'（兩方間的對決）。不適合用於團體戰。

The two men agreed to a duel at sunrise.
