Definition

「du」是在德語等語言中用來稱呼單一熟人或朋友的非正式「你」。英文中沒有這個字，但在語言學習時常用作參照。

英文只有「you」, 不分親疏和單複數，但德文「du」用於朋友或熟人，「Sie」則用於正式場合。學習此類語言時要特別注意稱謂差別。
