Definition

কারো শ্বাস বন্ধ হওয়ার কারণে পানিতে মারা যাওয়া, বা কাউকে পানিতে ডুবিয়ে মারা ফেলা।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সাধারণত দুঃখজনক বা গুরুতর ঘটনার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'He drowned' অর্থাৎ তিনি ডুবে মারা গেছেন। 'The flood drowned the animals' মানে বন্যা পশুগুলোকে ডুবিয়ে মেরেছে।
